‘90210′ Can’t Afford Tori, So It Employs Cory (And The Cobrasnake) [Party Like It’s 2006]
Producers for the new 90210 love to release their casting information in teasing increments: Tori’s in! No, she’s out — but Shannen’s back! Also, there are some other actors on the show, maybe (but still no Lucille Bluth)! Now, though, their latest bit of stunt casting has emerged through a source at Nylon, and the idea reeks of hipster verisimilitude and Pabst Blue Ribbon:
We camped out on the 90210 set during pilot production, and cheered on our favorite new cast members - Cory Kennedy and Mark Hunter, aka The Cobrasnake, who both appear in the show’s first revival episode.
Will Cory teach new starlet AnnaLynne McCord how to pose for internet paparazzi? Will Mark find a new muse in returning diva Shannen Doherty?

If you’re unfamiliar with these two staples of Hollywood nightlife, The Cobrasnake is LA’s best-known party photographer, and Cory Kennedy is his hipster muse. While some may quibble about their inclusion, we can’t wait for the inevitable, Cinespace-set scene where Cobrasnake’s lens captures Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth engaging in a Red Bull-fueled smackdown (as DJ Steve Aoki hastily programs a calming mash-up from his 3G iPhone).

Screw Shia’s Pinkie: Christina Applegate Had A Double Mastectomy [Ailments]
Yesterday we brought you the news that Christina Applegate was free and clear of breast cancer, just a month after being diagnosed with an early form of the disease in one of her breasts. Today, during an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, Applegate revealed that she beat the disease by having both of her breasts removed. Says People:
Explaining her rationale in taking that dramatic step, she said, “I didn’t want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything. I just wanted to kind of be rid of this whole thing for me. This was the choice that I made, and it was a tough one.”
Over the next eight months she will undergo reconstructive surgery. “I’m gonna have cute boobs till I’m 90,” she quipped, as Roberts pointed out how Applegate’s sense of humor has helped the actress endure the ordeal.
Congratulations are in order to Applegate; she had to make a tough decision (informed by her mother’s breast cancer experience as well as the discovery that Applegate herself carried the breast cancer gene, BRCA1), and she revealed it with candor and wit. She may not have her breasts, but she’s certainly got cojones.
